Michael M. Simpson & Associates, Inc., (MMSA), is a small business enterprise located in Greenville, South Carolina. Each of our engineers and designers average over 20 years of experience in structural engineering. Our background experience includes justice / institutional buildings, low and mid-rise office buildings, parking garage, bridges, research laboratories, government office / laboratory facilities and schools. We are experienced in new building design, renovation design, and feasibility studies. Some of our more recent notable design structures in the state of South Carolina are the new Hollings Cancer Center at Medical University of SC in Charleston, Federal Bureau of Prison Complex in Williamsburg SC –(estimated construction cost $100 million), the new Greenville County Library and Greenville History Museum.
Recent educational facility designs include Mitchell Road Elementary and Westcliffe Elementary Schools in Greenville, Thomasboro Elementary School in Charlotte, NC and Clemson Littlejohn Coliseum Renovations/Annex Facility.
Although MMSA qualifies as a small business enterprise, we are well-equipped and experienced in providing quality structural engineering design expertise and technical competence to manage large and small projects. We are organized to maintain project schedules as well as select economical and feasible building training system and foundations systems to help control cost. Each project is lead by Michael Simpson, PE a structural engineer with over 20 years experience.
Our design teams have experience with projects ranging in construction cost size from less than $250,000 up to $100 million.
