The new Whale Branch High School will house approximately 1,000 students in grades 9-12 with the capability of expanding to 1,500 students. The building is approximately 180,000 SF. This one- and two-story structure consists of masonry shear walls supporting structural steel and joist framing. The school building will be a steel frame with precast concrete panels and masonry for exterior walls. The roof system will be bar and joist and steel deck with a built-up roof system.
