The Beaufort Municipal Center includes new Judicial and City Hall buildings for the City of Beaufort, South Carolina.  The judicial building contains new facilities for the Police Department, including an Emergency Operations Center and training room, as well as the Municipal Courtroom and Clerk’s offices. City Hall will house executive and administrative offices, multiple conference rooms, and City Council Chambers. Both buildings are designed to accommodate future growth.  MMSA provided consulting structural engineering design services for a 2-story, 33,000 SF steel framed structure and a 3-level 29,000 SF steel framed structure with reinforced concrete shear walls and a combination of low-sloped and pitched roofs, and brick veneer and stucco finishes.
