The Charleston County Detention Center design/build expansion will include a new 334,000 SF building, consisting of 4 stories with a mechanical penthouse. The structural system consists of precast concrete columns and precast, precast concrete double tee beams and precast walls. The foundations consist of auger cast pile foundations, with pile caps and grade beams.

Size: Approximately 332,000 SF which increases total size of the Detention Center to 512,251 SF
