Originally built in 1930 as the Clemson Field House, Fike Recreation Center is the main fitness building on the Clemson University campus and houses several gymnasiums, racquetball courts, a pool, a fitness atrium, an indoor walk/jog/run track, and climbing wall.  As part of a teaming effort, MMSA provided a structural feasibility study, structural engineering design, and construction administration for new additions and improvements to the existing facility. New additions and renovations include a new 3,500 sf natatorium sauna and steam room on the pool deck using a fast-track design schedule, and renovations to the existing racquetball courts and existing mat room space, effectively converting the space into functional activity space suitable for fitness activities.
