Florence Regional Airport has plans of continuing growth. In anticipation of continued service to the surrounding communities and future growth, a new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility was needed to replace the existing outdated 1990s facility and support any of the airport’s public safety needs.

MMSA provided structural engineering design and construction administration services for the new Florence Regional Airport Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility (ARFF). Programmed as a one-story, 9,430 sf high-bay building, the expansive ARFF now provides ample space for training, conduct their daily activities and quickly respond to both fire and police protection needs at the airport. The new building includes office and storage space, training rooms, a dining area and living quarters.
